Most of the time, photography is a rather lonely activity – well, in terms of being alone behind a viewfinder, which further separates us from the world we are capturing.  But the activity known as the GTG in photography circles (get-together), is as close as we get to a party.  And they are a LOT of fun.  Sharing photo time with kindred spirits and not the usual what??-another-picture??!! crowd allows us to indulge and not feel guilty.  Our buddies understand when a glint of light off something is just so perfect we HAVE to stop and shoot it.  Chances are, they’ll shoot it too.
